Sitka National Historical Park
Sitka National Historical Park (103 Monastery Street, Sitka, AK 99835) – this park preserves the site of a battle between invading Russian traders and indigenous Tlingit locals. Park visitors are awed by Tlingit and Haida totem poles standing along the park’s scenic coastal trail, and the restored Russian Bishop’s House speaks of Russia’s little-known colonial legacy in North America. Free admission to all parts of this park.
Hours (park grounds): 6:00 am – 10:00 pm every day; Hours (Russian Bishop’s House): 9:00 am – 4:30 pm every day.
